(1) Investigate and study the dynamics of weighing technology at home and abroad, analyze the development trend, publicize and promote new scientific research achievements, new technologies and new products, which were put forward as the first task when the association was established. At the Changzhou conference held in the second year of the association's establishment, 11 experts, professors and qualified engineers and technicians in the industry were arranged to make special reports with a certain technical depth, and organized various forms of technical exchanges for the association. , Academic exchanges set a precedent.
In June and November 1985, the Association held two large-scale technical lectures in Dalian and Changsha successively, and invited experts from Japan's Yamato Balance Co., Ltd., Dongming Trading Co., Ltd. and American Electronic Weighing Company (total 10) to China. The peers introduced their respective technical level of electronic weighing instruments and the development trend of international electronic weighing instruments. About 300 people attended the two lectures. This is the first time that the association uses the form of 'please come in' to organize internal and external technical exchanges for its members. The representatives who participated in the lecture, both business leaders and engineers and technicians, were generally inspired and responded strongly, and hoped that the association would organize more similar exchange activities.
Since then, many lectures and exchanges have been held by associations, or in association with enterprises and institutions, and with relevant associations and societies; or by special organizations, or by taking advantage of opportunities such as annual meetings, exhibitions, new product appraisal meetings, and on-site meetings. A related collection of papers has been published to provide members with a variety of technical information. Especially after the Association established the National Weighing Instrument Expert Technical Committee, it gave full play to the advantages of the Expert Committee, more and more exchange activities were carried out, and the quality of the activities was getting higher and higher.
Sponsored by the association and undertaken by the National Weighing Apparatus Industry Science and Technology Information Station (located in Shenyang Light Industry Machinery Design Institute), three technical exchanges and papers were held in Zhoushan, Zhejiang in May 1989, Taiyuan, Shanxi in August 1990, and Changzhou in 1992. The seminar focused on the exchange of experience in solving the stability of load cells and displays in development, installation and commissioning.
The National Symposium on Force Measurement and Weighing Technology, jointly organized by China Weighing Instrument Association, China Metrology and Testing Society and China Instrument and Control Society, has been held every three years since 1990. The first seminar conducted extensive discussions on hot issues such as the improvement of the long-term stability of the force measuring load cell and the development of dynamic weighing technology, which aroused great repercussions among the engineering and technical personnel of the enterprise; the third seminar in 1996 was organized by the association Hosted by the exhibition, and with the presentation of new technology achievements, the papers recommended by the Weighing Apparatus Association have surpassed the previous two sessions in both quantity and quality. In 1999 and 2002, the association started to organize the approval and recommendation of papers in advance, mainly by expert committees, and started to compile the collection of papers. There were more than 100 papers submitted by the weighing instrument industry. Moreover, the seminar has also been extended to combine with foreign technical and academic exchanges, making the seminar to a new level.
