The traditional teaching of the course "Sensor Technology and Application" is teacher-centered, adopts an indoctrination teaching mode, and is supplemented by a small amount of sensor videos and animations. During the entire teaching process, the teacher is the main body instilling knowledge, and the students are passive roles, passively absorbing knowledge. Traditional teaching cannot stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning, and is not conducive to cultivating students' innovative thinking patterns.

In addition, since the course "Sensor Technology and Applications" covers a wide range of knowledge, students are unable to effectively and flexibly apply existing knowledge to the understanding and learning of new knowledge during classroom learning, which makes students feel that the knowledge learning of the course "Sensor Technology and Applications" is difficult, and students are prone to lose interest and enthusiasm in learning the course, and even develop a dislike for learning. This will make the teaching process of the course extremely difficult, and the quality of course teaching cannot be guaranteed.

Through detailed analysis and research on the main contents of the course, the learning content of each type of sensor is divided into four aspects: basic knowledge, basic principles, observation of physical objects and video materials, and typical applications. Among them, the basic knowledge first explains to students the previous knowledge system used by this type of sensor, so that students can effectively integrate it with their existing knowledge and eliminate students' fear of learning subsequent principles; through the explanation of basic knowledge, the basic principles of this type of sensor are disassembled using the analysis method, and the working characteristics and working methods of this type of sensor are pointed out.

With the development of sensor technology, the teaching content of this course has expanded rapidly, and the traditional teaching ideas and teaching models can no longer adapt to the course teaching tasks. However, the new teaching model of "student-centered + teacher-led" can maximize the guiding role of teachers and the subjective initiative of students, so that the new teaching model is more suitable for the rapid development of the "Sensor Technology and Application" course.

Under the new teaching model system, the course teaching adopts a teaching method that combines the teacher's heuristic guidance, case analysis and classroom group discussion. In the teaching process, we focus on inspiring students with daily life examples and engineering cases, guiding students to discuss the basic principles and knowledge of sensors involved in the examples and cases, giving full play to the teaching subject role of students, thereby mobilizing students' enthusiasm and stimulating students' ability to think independently, analyze and solve problems, and gradually cultivating their ability to apply theoretical knowledge in engineering.
