Intelligent transportation system (ITS for short) is the development direction of transportation system in the next few decades. It effectively integrates and applies computer technology, sensor technology, information technology and communication technology to transportation information management system, and establishes a A large-scale, comprehensive, real-time, accurate and efficient comprehensive transportation management system. In order to obtain all-round real-time traffic data information in the traffic information flow, various detectors need to work together to collect traffic parameters, and the central controller will perform fusion analysis on the collected parameters to evaluate urban traffic conditions.
For example, in order to assess the number of various types of vehicles passing by on a highway during a certain period of time, speeding and overloading conditions, traffic flow and other information, weight sensors can be placed on the road surface. When the vehicle drives over the surface, the weight of the vehicle can be measured in real time. At the same time, the visual sensor above the vehicle can collect the vehicle's outline information and analyze it to obtain vehicle model data. The central control unit can determine whether the vehicle is overloaded through the fusion analysis of the vehicle model and weight data.
To address fatigue driving, one of the most concerning issues in traffic safety, the driver's pupils can be located and tested through a combination of infrared cameras and pulsed light-emitting diodes. After image processing and feature extraction, it can be analyzed whether the pupils become smaller or even closed. Analyze whether the driver is driving fatigued; at the same time, collect data from the axle steering angle sensor Collects information on changes in the vehicle's driving direction and analyzes whether the vehicle deviates from the driving lane; through the millimeter-wave radar installed in front of the vehicle, the distance between the vehicle and the vehicle in front or obstacles can be obtained in real time. When the distance exceeds a certain threshold range, an alarm display and alarm prompt are issued sound, and at the same time, emergency braking is applied when the driver has no time to brake to prevent a car accident. The system structure is shown in Figure 1.
Traffic flow information detection is an important part of intelligent transportation. It integrates the information detected by various sensors to obtain real-time traffic flow data, such as traffic volume, vehicle speed, lane occupancy, traffic flow density, queue length, etc., and sends it to the control center. Analyze traffic flow information and issue corresponding instructions to achieve intelligent control.
